    • 鸡肉 鸡肉 oh my goodness oh my goodness we have a big breakfast yeah so in Taiwan breakfast is a big meal yeah very important and we have like three way one way is kanji and one way is like the the east the western style like tempura sandwich and one is like a Shanghai style which is the bean bean milk soy milk oh this is good this is right and this also eat with them yeah and this is uh uh liver let me try this looks good and they I think they all passed more than like 60 years oh yeah this is my favorite which one what is that oyster oyster fried oyster yes no it's funny you say breakfast it seems like dinner to me there's more than what I eat for dinner oh that was fun this is good right mm or shrimp that shrimp too you're making me eat a lot for breakfast but in Taiwan breakfast is most important why is that uh because you have you if you have very good breakfast you're gonna full of the energy whole day when I have a big breakfast I sleep all day which is good too it's different what is this one mm this is the fish mm good eh oh wow when I was kids my father always bring me to this area you know yeah so why don't you try some pork feet you can dip this yeah but you eat this side it's not necessary no I just had a big piece okay all right here we go ready the dip in here yes mm my favorite part is the skin oh yeah me too but this this a little bit different from Busan right mm-hmm yeah because Busan is like the more tender yeah yeah and in Taiwan they like bite chewing mm-hmm yeah it's still tender though yeah I'm really sorry yeah I got this book like two days ago yeah but I only read it like 80 pages now oh good yeah and I I love your idea the ones you make the uh recipe without picture yeah yeah yeah yeah I think this is good yeah I I for this book I wanted to I wanted people to focus on the words and the stories yes food's important but for this one it's not a cookbook it's it's a book of stories and yeah and I love you telling the story first yeah and after that you you put the the recipe here oh thank you yeah and also uh I I think this is a more gentle way you say if you put the picture if people they they they try to do the same way but they cannot do the same way they will very deep yeah and this is good we have so much social media the picture is everywhere yes I want people to also read words you know yeah we have too many pictures not enough words yeah and how about now you live in state or you live in Korea no I live in the United States United States oh so will you come to come back to Taiwan again if you have by any chance I love to I love to this this time was um the trip was very short yes so actually how many days uh just three days wow that's really short so are you gonna put those menu in your next book there's one maybe so I have to eat first yes and then second I have to watch them try try and figure out the recipe so if if next time if you come to Taiwan I'm gonna bring another breakfast and also it's very delicious this is all fantastic that is really good and the pork belly is fantastic so but this broth too is really good it's a lot of ginger in this broth yeah it feels very healthy but after you finish this breakfast yeah you have to go to sleep right yeah but I have I have a plane ride so it's very easy yeah I'm I'm so excited because I published this book eight years ago wow yeah that's a long time ago long time ago mm-hmm and I never thought mm-hmm I would have such a wide audience for it so I'm I'm I'm very thankful the book did well in America but to see the book in you know different language Chinese it makes me feel so good because it's so cool to see that and and to see that people are translating and it's so I hope people really enjoy it it's I think if you read this book you will understand uh America a little better a lot of times we only see a country based on what they play on the news yes it's not always 100% accurate but I think if you read this book you'll get a little bit of an authentic feel for what is happening in America in food anyway yeah and uh I can I can I can feel you take a really long time to roll this book because you went to a lot of place and you you met a lot of people right uh in I also have some book but I always you know roll the book very short time yeah yeah uh I think maybe I will try to you away try you away to you know have time and take take it slowly and talk to people time is hard yes time is hard that's the that's the most expensive thing in life is time yes exactly yeah yeah exactly uh this is a uh pineapple cake in Taiwan yeah everyone always give the the gift to the the people who love yeah yeah yeah and this is your favorite this is a single mall but this if you love I know you love bourbon I know but Cavalon is very very top top whiskey all right thank you thank you beautiful so kind of you thank you so much yeah no no no no have nice fly yeah and safely to go back home thank you and we'll see you next time thank you so much thank you thank you thank you very much I appreciate it watch this one that's good bite a little wrong wow I make my own food now yes yeah and and put an oyster on top too that's a good bite that's a good bite oh that's great oh yeah yeah.
